Lame Ducks Ice Hockey

About the club
For over 30 years, the Haverford College Lame Ducks have been taking to the ice after dark to play pickup hockey. The Lame Ducks are made up of a wide range of players, some who have been playing hockey all their life, and some who have never before put on a pair of skates. For eight Sundays each semester, the Ducks shuttle to the Havertown Skatium and take to the ice with skates and sticks (all of which are provided free of charge). After a stick and puck scrimmage, where we divide into lines of different competitiveness, and after some time for free skate, we head on over for a late night snack at Wawa.
